Within the Ataye–Mehal Meda road project, Unimpresa S.p.A. Branch worked for Yencomad Construction Plc. on reinforced‑earth retaining works, adopting geotechnical solutions designed to ensure stability and continuity of the road platform in a complex mountainous context. The intervention is along the approximately 60‑km alignment in the Amhara Region, about 300 km northeast of Addis Abeba, between very different elevations (from 1,400 to 3,400 m a.s.l.), where inclined reinforced‑earth walls provide an effective solution for retaining embankments and optimizing the footprint of the works.
